People First Consult is looking for a highly analytical and results-oriented Head of Cost and Budget on behalf of a well-established industrial manufacturing company within a prominent Ethiopian business group.

The successful candidate will lead budgeting, cost management, financial planning, and performance analysis to strengthen cost efficiency, financial discipline, and informed business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Oversee cost accounting, product costing, cost allocation, and variance analysis.
• Monitor production and operational costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and performance dashboards.
• Collaborate with Finance, Production, Procurement, and other departments to improve cost control and resource utilization.
• Strengthen budgetary controls, reporting procedures, and cost management systems.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• A master's degree or professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is an advantage.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong experience in budgeting, cost accounting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
• Manufacturing-sector experience, particularly in product costing and production cost analysis, is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, communication, and leadership skills.
